A guide to local currency and tipping etiquette.
As a general rule of thumb, guides are typically tipped $2.00 per person per day, and drivers are tipped $1.00 per person per day. If you receive exceptional service, you may choose to offer a special gratuity. Regarding currency, it is helpful to carry a small amount of local cash for minor purchases, though major credit cards are widely accepted in most urban destinations.
